I think most would agree that the emphasis of standardized testing has backfired in terms of our future students. Unfortunately, looking at just one way to evaluate student achievement and/or teacher/school effectiveness is going to be so uni-dimensional that it barely provides any feedback, much less the feedback people think it does. :/
